One of Homer Watson's first pupils, Ralph Conner began painting in his twenties. He was a founding member and past president of the Kitchener Waterloo Society of Artists. On many occasions, his work was accepted and hung in exhibitions of the Royal Canadian Academy and the Ontario Society of Artists.

"Mill Pond" 1950

From the Memorial Exhibition, I believe this series of painting is the "Mill at Bridgeport" or "Old Mill." From what I can gather, this is the mill that was located at 10 Woolwich Street. Most of the mill burned down in the early 70's, leaving only the silos.
